摘要：

本文简要介绍洛杉矶城市空间结构的历史沿革。洛杉矶的低密度，多中心城市空间结构深刻地影响其交通和城市发展政策的制订。未来洛杉矶大都会区将实施可持续城市发展战略，使得城市空间结构更趋合理，自然资源利用更为有效，城市内部各项发展更加协调，经济发展和环境保护更加平衡。

Abstract：

This paper introduces the historical evolution of the Los Angeles urban spatial structure. The low-density, polycentric Los Angeles urban spatial structure has profoundly impacted its transportation and urban development policy-making. In the future, the Los Angeles metropolitan region will implement a sustainable urban development strategy characterized of improving its urban spatial structure, optimizing its natural resource utilization, coordinating its internal developments, and balancing its economic growth and environmental protection.
